It's also really easy to second-guess a decision after you're warmed up again.

I'll make a pretty easy prediction and say, when you do this again, that you'll blow through the 42.5 barrier feeling great, and have terrific mental strength for the rest.

As an aside, my weekly mileage was 39 last week.

JeffJeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08825839677436477737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1914030092360722217.post-78016621439202495102011-03-06T22:23:38.371-05:002011-03-06T22:23:38.371-05:00I was also toast at 40. I went and changed my shoes (which was a major task), put on another pair of pants and a dry shirt then walked the big loop to get 50. I was shaking really bad when i got home. Anyone that didn't get some time in the mud missed out on an epic GUTS event.
Jim, we all know what you can do! Don't beat yourself up over this. I'm happy just being with all you guys!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04985718707342408038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1914030092360722217.post-267272048567251842011-03-06T20:32:33.729-05:002011-03-06T20:32:33.729-05:00Jim- A tough day on an extremely difficult course ...Jim- A tough day on an extremely difficult course considering the conditions. You were amazing to run 42.5 miles on such a challenging trail and that's something to hang your hat on with pride. Looking forward to hanging out with you at future races!Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943131331477121937noreply@blogger.com
